PAINT PROTECTION FILM

DEPOSITS - A deposit of 20% of the total price is required at the time of booking.

At evolution details, we do request the following POST installation;

  • Please bring your vehicle back to us approximately 14 days after installation for a PPF check-up. We will arrange a date for us to provide you with a complimentary wash-off and full PPF inspection. This is a very important part of the installation process and please be aware that any defects noted after this time may not be rectifiable.

  • 1. Please do NOT wash your car for at least 5 days after installation. This curing period allows the film to properly adhere to the paintwork. Washing your car too soon may cause the edges of the film to lift, potentially resulting in irreparable damage.

  • 2. After installation, you may notice some small bubbles under the film. This is normal and typically results from moisture trapped during the application process. These issues usually resolve on their own as the moisture dissipates, which can take up to 30 days.

  • 3. Once the initial waiting period is over, you can indeed clean your vehicle as normal. We advise a basic wash with a pH neutral shampoo (Available from us if required) on a regular basis to avoid any build up of dirt.

  • 4. If using a jet wash/pressure washer, you should not use the appliance at less than 3 feet from your vehicle, as this may cause damage to the film. Especially avoid the edges/seams of any film as the impact can cause lifting if hit at the wrong angles.

  • 5. It is advisable to remove any bird droppings from the film as quickly as possible, as the acid content of the droppings may have a detrimental effect on the film over time.

  • 6. Do not use abrasive chemicals or paint restoration products on the film as this may damage the clear coating of the film.

DISCLAIMER

The removal of any Paint Protection Film (PPF) should not damage the factory paint finish when performed professionally. However, there is a risk that smart repairs and partial or fully repainted finishes may peel during the removal process. At evolution details, we take all necessary precautions—including the use of steam, hot water, infrared heat lamps, and specialized chemicals—to remove PPF in the safest manner possible, minimizing the risk of paint damage. Despite these precautions, evolution details cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur during the removal process.

This is also applicable to vinyl removal from vehicles.
